Presenters stressed professional development for staff to ensure teachers can show students how to use AI responsibly and ethically, and they cited coordination with local postsecondary partners; Kent State was mentioned as using a similar rubric. The committee reported improved staff comfort with AI after targeted PD sessions and recommended continued investment in teacher training and an ethical-use framework tied to PBIS expectations.
The board received the update; no formal policy vote occurred.
