Williamsport City Council unanimously approved several land-use items Wednesday, clearing the way for lot consolidations and a subdivision that includes a rail easement for a local industrial property.
Council approved a lot consolidation for Jefferson Pavilion LLC, which consolidates three lots plus a vacated portion of Kite Avenue into the company’s apartment-complex parcel; staff said the consolidation will facilitate construction of tenant garages. The consolidation was approved following favorable recommendations from Lycoming County Planning and city planning review.
Council also approved a lot consolidation requested by Marrone Enterprises LLC, which will combine several parcels ahead of a later submittal for a parking-lot project along Market Street. Staff said earlier demolition approvals for parts of the parcel cleared the way for the consolidation and future parking work.
Separately, council approved a subdivision by Stayman Real Estate Holdings LLC that will create a 7,013-square-foot lot to be added to an adjacent Jasper Industries parcel and includes an easement to provide rail access for Jasper Industries’ operations. Staff said the subdivision and easement were reviewed and recommended by county and city planning.
Each of the three items passed on a 4-0 vote. Council members asked no substantive questions during the votes and staff indicated the proposals will return to council if further stormwater or landscaping review is required for later development steps.
