Order of compliance entered after property at 5740 Lauder brought into compliance, town seeks $250 fee

Terry Wike, code enforcement officer for the Town of Fort Myers Beach, presented evidence that the property at 5740 Lauder had multiple code violations observed on April 25, 2025, including tall grass, missing handrails, siding and structural issues, debris, and what appeared to be the dwelling leaning.
Wike said notices of violation and postings were made and that a follow-up inspection on June 5, 2025, found the property in compliance. He marked an affidavit of compliance and supporting photos as Exhibit E and asked the magistrate to issue an order stating the violation had been corrected and to impose an administrative fee of $250 to cover the cost of the proceeding.
Monica Schmucker said she would enter an order of compliance noting the prior violation and current compliance and would include the requested administrative fee of $250 with no daily fines. She asked the town to provide a draft order within a week; the town agreed and the magistrate said she would return an order to the town within a week thereafter.
