Monroeville staff outline $60 million in capital requests, present $41 million public-works build option and $14.3 million library plan

Monroeville Municipal Manager Alex Graziani told council on June 3 that the borough faces about $60 million in capital project requests against roughly $30 million in available revenue and reserves, leaving an approximate $31 million shortfall.

Graziani said the public-works complex and a proposed library renovation are the largest unfunded items in the capital program. He described one public-works “scenario D” estimate at about $40.5 million and a library option at about $14.25 million, and he warned that neither project has identified financing or council direction to advance beyond conceptual design.
