The Greenfield Common Council on June 5 approved multiple outdoor special-event license requests, including an extension of licensed premises for Daniel's Place, four House of Harley events (one retroactive), Ridge Food Truck Nights and the St. John's annual church festival.
Daniel's Place requested an extension of its combined Class B beer and liquor license and its entertainment license to allow the Bags League to use the front of the building (fenced), with alcohol sales inside and consumption in plastic containers outside. The council approved the extension for events on June 11, June 18, July 2 and July 9, all scheduled from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m.
House of Harley sought outdoor special-event licenses for events dated May 31 (retroactive), June 7, June 21 and July 14. The council approved the four dates and the presiding officer said the first date was being approved retroactively because of an administrative omission from the prior agenda; staff confirmed no complaints were recorded for the May 31 event.
The council also approved Ridge Food Truck Nights to be held at 4500 South 108th Street on June 12, July 10 and August 7, and approved St. John's annual festival for July 25–27 with required licenses and permits.
Most votes were taken by voice and recorded as carried; for the Daniel's Place and development-agreement votes the roll call recorded aye votes by Alderson Truswicki, Alderson Sarian and Alderperson Acres. The meeting record shows motions to approve were made and seconded for each item and that the motions carried.
The approvals allow the events to proceed under the conditions discussed; no fines, enforcement actions or special additional conditions beyond standard licensing requirements were recorded in the meeting minutes.
