The Conyers City Council opened and closed a public hearing Tuesday on the proposed 2025–26 budget after no members of the public came forward to speak.
A city staff presenter summarized that the proposed budget for fiscal year 2025–26 is balanced, that the presentation had been given at the prior council meeting, and that the budget is available for public inspection in the city clerk’s office and customer service. When asked whether staff had heard concerns, Nadine (city staff) replied that she had not heard anything.
The presiding official opened the public hearing and, seeing no speakers, closed it without comment. Staff told the council another reading of the budget will take place at the next council meeting before final adoption.
The meeting record shows no public testimony for or against the budget at this hearing.
