Staff reported the following applications and facts: RK Gas and Food Inc (DBA Food Mart) at 1880 Old 41 Highway NW, Suite 100; SBC Kennesaw Inc (DBA Suburban Bar) at 2718 Summer Street; and Anto Land LLC (DBA Anto Landia) at 2851 Cobb Parkway NW, Suite 210. Staff said applicants completed the required alcohol workshop per section 6‑69, signs were posted and advertising met section 6‑36, background checks were on file, and a certified distance survey was completed where required.
On the fireworks contract, the council heard a staff recommendation to authorize the mayor to execute an agreement with Pyro Show's East Coast for July 3 fireworks and moved that item to the consent agenda.
Council took no final, standalone action on the license approvals at the work session; the items were kept on the consent agenda for formal consideration at the regular meeting.
