Council approves VC3 contract amendment to bring IT tasks in-house; city projects $200,000 annual savings

The Warner Robins City Council approved a resolution authorizing Mayor La Rhonda W. Patrick to execute an amendment to the city's contract with VC3 Incorporated to include co-management information-technology support services.
Councilman Curtis moved the resolution and Councilman Holmes seconded. The motion passed with council members voting in favor.
Council members said the change will allow the city to self-perform a larger portion of IT network duties. During discussion a council member stated, “It does save the city over 200,000 annually for us to self perform, much of the duties required for our IT network.” The amendment updates the previously approved contract from Dec. 16, 2024, to add co-management services.
The resolution delegates authority to the mayor to sign the contract amendment. Council records show the item was adopted as a standalone resolution; staff will implement the revised support arrangement under the finance/IT departments’ oversight.
