The Warner Robins City Council on Monday administered the oath of office to three new police officers and the Warner Robins Police Department presented its annual employee awards.
The council swore in three officers, identified in the meeting as Officer Snow, Officer Johnson and Officer Murrell. One officer, Jonathan Moreau, recited the oath of office during the ceremony. Mayor La Rhonda W. Patrick welcomed the new officers and said “Congratulations. Welcome to the family.”
The police department then presented its annual recognitions. Chief Fisher told the council the awards are peer-nominated and selected internally and said, “At this point in time, we wish to thank and recognize each of them.” Civilian of the Year was recorded as Hope Bish, identified as records management manager. Officer of the Year was announced for David Hoech (not present). Detective of the Year was recorded as Detective Robert Broussard. Supervisor of the Year was recorded for Lieutenant Rett Rosier, recognized for supervising complex units including traffic operations and special events.
Council members offered brief remarks thanking the department and congratulating the honorees. The ceremony included photo opportunities and public recognition but no formal council vote was required.
The presentations and swearing-in were part of the council’s regular meeting agenda and followed by other business.
