VANCOUVER, Wash. — The Vancouver School District board and community members recognized Superintendent Jeff Snell at his final regular board meeting on June 3 with multiple tributes from staff, board members and students.
Speakers recalled Snell’s leadership across roles in the district. In public remarks, a parent and several staff members praised his ‘‘hope and joy’’ approach; one teacher said Snell was “the first person who taught me what teacher leadership is.” School board members and community speakers thanked him for his service and wished him well in his next chapter at the state level, in remarks made during the meeting.
