Ian Trefren, city planner, summarized the application (PL2025024) and said the monopole sits on a small leased pad within a 5.188-acre rural-density-residential property and that the application, with the staff conditions listed in the staff letter, meets the comprehensive plan and UDO requirements.
Taylor Lovely, representing American Tower on Zoom, identified herself for the record but did not provide a separate presentation. Trefren confirmed the applicant requested a 20-year special-use permit renewal to permit the continued operation of the existing 150-foot monopole.
Why it matters: Telecommunications infrastructure renewal requests are typically evaluated under the city's Unified Development Ordinance and are relevant to coverage, property impacts and neighborhood compatibility.
