Library staff and commissioners noted the city has a sponsorship policy recently approved; staff said they would share the city sponsorship policy with commissioners and that city staff are coordinating a citywide sponsorship strategy. Staff also noted the city’s budget process and the library’s deeper budget review scheduled after the city adopts the budget.
Woodwell invited commissioners to the Friends’ regular meetings (typically the last Monday of the month, 7 p.m. in the large meeting room) and encouraged volunteers for the book sale. Commissioners suggested the library provide a menu of sponsorship opportunities and noted the benefit of a coordinated city approach.
