Superintendent highlights school gains, launches Apogee messaging tool and urges early kindergarten registration

Broski recognized school-level improvements and graduation milestones. He said Charles E. Bennett Elementary showed a 61‑point year-over-year improvement and Clay Hill Elementary improved by 82 points; he reported that Middleburg Elementary moved from a "C" to an "A" in his internal calculations and that Orange Park High School was close to an "A." By the district's calculations, six schools improved by a full letter grade during the year.
On communications, Broski announced a districtwide rollout of Apogee, a single messaging platform intended to replace multiple communication apps. He said Apogee will allow teachers to create classroom "rooms" for two‑way messaging with parents and that the district planned a soft launch with full implementation in August. "Please, please, please start early. Register so we can get you all all set up and good to go," Broski told parents about kindergarten registration, noting more than 500 students had already registered for kindergarten.
Broski also listed district summer meal locations and said administrative teams have been engaged in planning for the 2025–26 school year. He told the board the district is tracking enrollment trends and conducting outreach to understand why students leave and to market for students to return.
