The Oswego City Council unanimously approved a set of public-space permits and accepted donations for city parks during its meeting.
Resolutions on the consent agenda approved use of Brightback Park for the Oswego Minor Hockey Association walk/run on June 1, 2025; approval for Chris Christy Salvador to host the Susan G. Komen breast cancer walk at Brightback Park on Oct. 5, 2025; and approval for Amy Nielsen to host a teddy bear picnic at Brightback Park on June 19, 2025. Each use-of-space resolution passed by a 5-0-2 roll call.
The council also accepted a donated bench from Donna Dateri in honor of Arthur and Diane German to be located along West Linear Park and accepted four Project Bloom signs from the Greater Oswego Fulton Chamber of Commerce to be placed throughout the city. Both donation acceptances passed by roll call vote.
All items were considered on the consent agenda; councilors offered no changes to the event permits or donation terms during the meeting.
