Council approves Shadow Creek phase 2 final plat and subdivision agreement amendment; members note housing mix

The Papillion City Council approved several development items tied to the Shadow Creek subdivision at its June 3 meeting, voting unanimously to accept a final plat and to approve a first amendment to the subdivision agreement that updates construction exhibits.
Resolution R-25-0112, a final plat for property described as part of Tax Lot 9, Section 3, Township 13 North, Range 12 East (South Ninety-Second and Schramm Road area), was moved by Councilman Glover and passed by roll call with no nays.
On the amendment to the Shadow Creek subdivision agreement, Patrick Sullivan, speaking on behalf of the applicant, told the council the change was “mostly, this is just switching out exhibits as to how the construction will be done. There's not anything terribly substantive here.” Caleb Beasley with ENA was present to answer technical questions. Councilman Mundard commented he was “very pleased to see the description includes a mix of duplexes and fourplexes instead of another 300 unit apartment complex,” an observation several members noted approvingly. A motion to approve Resolution R-25-0113 was made by Councilman Engberg, seconded by Councilman Stuby, and passed 8–0.
The council also approved Resolution R-25-0115, a comprehensive plan item, by an 8–0 vote after a public hearing. No opponents spoke on the listed items during the hearings that preceded the votes.
