A staff presenter described the purchase as a fleet replacement: "These were placed some old Dodge charters that we have in the fleet that are still on the front line with their 02/2014. So we've gotten more than their expected life out of them." The presenter said Chapman Ford in Marysville, Ohio, is honoring a prior price and the vehicles are available on the dealer lot. "The price is being honored by Chapman Ford... they're honoring the price that we paid back in 2023 for cars," the presenter said.
Council approved the purchase by voice vote. No roll-call vote was recorded in the transcript. The action directs staff to issue a purchase order so the vehicles can be picked up from the dealer.
