SAN ANTONIO — The 187th District Court amended bond conditions for Paul Marceau on Thursday to permit attendance at Sunday Mass at a named Catholic parish, with a time window and GPS conditions to protect public-safety and a potential complainant’s access.
Defense counsel asked the court to allow their client to attend church services. The state said it had attempted but not yet made contact with the complainant and therefore did not object to limited church attendance if the defendant provided the address and times to pretrial services. The court confirmed Mass times (8 a.m., 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. Spanish, 4 p.m.) and concluded a 9 a.m. to noon window for the 10 a.m. service was a reasonable allowance.
