The Lorain County Board of Commissioners awarded a resurfacing contract to Barbicus Construction Company of Akron for $265,400.85 for work on Carolyn, Louann and Monica Drives in North Ridgeville under the CDBG FY23 program.
County staff said the contract includes a contingency for unforeseen change orders. Seven bids were received and the county deemed Barbicus Construction the most responsive bidder complying with specifications. North Ridgeville will provide $115,400.85 to the county to be deposited in the CDBG FY23 subfunds, and the project will be paid from the county’s CDBG FY contract-services account, staff said.
Commissioners moved and seconded the award and approved it by voice vote with no recorded opposition in the transcript. A county staff member acknowledged multiple bids and thanked bidders for their participation.
