Under the adopted ordinance, the Planning Commission will review the Complete Streets policy once a year and forward any recommended changes to the council for approval. Staff said the policy itself remains in place as a resolution and that the ordinance change clarifies the review body and process.
Councilors discussed the item at second reading and moved to adopt. The council voted in favor on the second reading and then recessed to consider an executive session later in the meeting.
Staff will administratively schedule the Planning Commission's annual review and return recommendations to the council as needed.
