Commissioners asked whether the city is reimbursed when its officers tow vehicles; staff replied the city seeks reimbursement when towing vehicles for others but not when towing its own vehicles. Commissioners also asked about department-paid membership fees for service clubs; staff said limited reimbursements are paid when group membership benefits department outreach (for example, Kiwanis) and that community officers provide representation.
There were roll-call approvals recorded for the presented bills. No ordinance or budget amendment was adopted during the meeting.
Staff said final contracts for the police renovation would be prepared by staff member Josh Moretz and moved forward in the coming week.
