Commissioners discussed a rezone request related to the Mountain Springs subdivision and whether the rezone reverted because the final plan was not recorded within the county's three-year timeframe.
Staff explained that the parcel had been rezoned for an agricultural residential subdivision years earlier, but the final plan was never recorded within three years. Under the county's development code, staff said the rezone can revert to the original zoning if recording requirements are not completed within the required time. County staff said they would examine the development code and, if the rezone had indeed lapsed, they would notify the assessor (Kim) to update the parcel status; staff also said they would contact Troy Peterson (the landowner) directly if changes were needed.
Commissioners asked if any formal action was required; staff said they would check and return with guidance. No formal vote was taken at the meeting.
