Council approves agreement with SCADA integrator for water reclamation facility design work

The Tooele City Council on June 4 approved Resolution 2025-50, authorizing an agreement with SKM for SCADA system design, electrical instrumentation and controls work at the city's water reclamation facility as part of a phase 1 upgrade project.
Public Works Director Jimmy Grand (presenter) said the contract is a not-to-exceed $36,000 task order for work that will support the UV portion of the current design phase with JUB Engineering. "It is kind of just not to exceed that amount," he said; the final charge will reflect the actual scope and billable work up to the cap.
Councilman Hansen moved approval and Councilman McCall seconded; the council voted unanimously to approve the agreement.
Discussion vs. decision: The resolution authorizes the contract and spending authority up to the stated cap. Staff will work with SKM and the design team to complete the SCADA/instrumentation design for the UV upgrades.
