Monroe County commissioners on May 21 approved a tentative collective bargaining agreement between the county (30th Circuit Court) and the Technical Professional and Office Workers of Michigan (TPOAM) covering employees represented by that unit through Dec. 31, 2026.
Jeff McBee, the county’s director of human resources, told commissioners that the unit’s representation had changed from the UAW to TPOAM and that the contract was negotiated in one meeting. McBee said compensation and fringe benefits in the agreement are consistent with those negotiated for other county bargaining units and recommended approval.
Commissioners approved the tentative agreement by roll call. The board did not discuss details of wage rates or specific fringe items in public during the meeting minutes provided; the HR director said the agreement is consistent with existing county terms and extends through the end of 2026.
