Council recommends approval of bingo license for White Mountain Moose Lodge 2650

The Show Low City Council voted unanimously to recommend approval of a bingo license application submitted by the White Mountain Moose Lodge 2650 for activities at 145 North White Mountain Road, Suite E.
Staff member Miss Hall explained the Moose Lodge previously held an approved bingo license at that address but the license lapsed, so the organization submitted a new application. Unlike liquor licenses (handled by the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control), bingo licenses are administered by the Arizona Department of Revenue. The application packet attached to the council packet included required affidavits, a rental agreement, Moose Lodge articles of incorporation and bylaws and a list of officers.
Miss Hall said the Lodge plans to hold bingo on Wednesdays and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The city's public hearing drew no speakers; Councilman Nelson Judd moved to recommend approval to the Arizona Department of Revenue and Councilman Wipko seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
Staff will forward the council's recommendation along with the application to the state for final licensing action.
