County staff said collections for SPLOST‑6 began April 1 and that, as of May 6, the board had approved just over $26 million for SPLOST‑6 projects. David Smith, the county’s financial director, told the board that year‑to‑date revenues across funds are running above budget and that the FY2024 audit work was underway with a draft expected in late July if schedules hold.
