The City of Green Bay Personnel Committee unanimously approved two labor agreements June 3: the 2025 agreement with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 158, and the 2025 agreement with the City of Green Bay Department of Public Works Labor Association.
Staff said the agreements make no structural changes beyond pay-scale updates; members reviewed the wage changes and a few minor clarifications. For the Department of Public Works agreement staff called out three changes: adding building maintenance technicians to the bargaining unit, clarifying that additional pay applies only during night-shift hours, and adding pay grade G (operator 2) to an incentive for heat-exposure work. Members asked whether a personal relationship (an alder’s father) to the union would require recusal; city legal staff said alderpersons should use their own discretion and that the city attorney could advise if an opinion was needed.
Alderpersons moved and seconded approval of both agreements and each passed unanimously. Staff said the city’s pay plan remains aligned with the IBEW agreement and that the wage changes will be implemented in accord with the contracts.
