Planning to expand outreach and training for community associations; registry changes reduced inactive listings

Stewart described the Planning Academy as a component of the department’s equity strategy to reach residents who aren’t already active in community associations and provide training on participation in land‑use discussions. Council members supported expanding trainings on meeting management, grant writing and how to track opportunities for neighborhood funding.
