Planning commission finds proposed conservation easement consistent with comprehensive plan

Staff noted the parcel is designated agricultural and rural residential on the future land use map, which the commission said satisfies the requirement for finding consistency with the comprehensive plan. The vote was taken during the new-business portion of the meeting; commissioners moved and approved the determination by voice vote.
A commission member clarified that the commission’s action is a determination of accordance with the plan and does not require Board of Supervisors approval. The commission certified the closed-session actions later in the meeting by roll-call vote and adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
