City approves revised payment agreement with Cimarron Terrace Water Association

The Enid Municipal Authority approved a revised contract with Cimarron Terrace Water Association following roughly a year and a half of negotiation, trustees said, changing how royalties are paid and updating language on permissible uses of water drawn from nearby wells.
Carol, who presented the item to trustees, said the agreement evens out payments to the association compared with other nearby wells and modernizes contract language about the uses and limits for water derived from city wells. “It does change the way that they get paid significantly, and it should provide a good deal of community spirit for them,” Carol said.
A trustee noted Cimarron Terrace’s historical role in supplying groundwater to the city and moved to approve the agreement. Trustees voted 7-0 to adopt the contract.
