The Superior Common Council on June 3 approved the Parks and Recreation Department’s 2025 capital improvement projects for the coming five years and received several departmental updates on events and maintenance.
The parks chair reported on recent and upcoming projects, including a library story-walk unveiling at Billings Park, the solar garden planting and a children’s memorial garden event scheduled for July 20. The parks committee also noted the planned deployment of goats in Billings Park on June 16 to help control invasive species.
The council approved the department’s proposed 2025 parks capital improvement program without recorded dissent. The chair advised that the committee will continue to monitor project details and bring necessary budget or scheduling items to the council as required.
