The Centerville City Council approved a bid award Tuesday for sidewalk work on the city-owned property commonly referred to in the meeting as the Randall (Ramble) property and for the City Hall well driveway.
A motion to award the contract to Advance Paving in the amount of $56,120 passed unanimously, the council recorded. Council members clarified in discussion that the parcel is city property (historically associated with the Randall family name) and that the work includes sidewalk on 100 East and the City Hall well driveway.
Staff said the small public-works project supports pedestrian access and addresses site needs adjacent to city facilities. No members of the public spoke on the summary action item.
