The Tuscaloosa City Finance Committee approved a capital item from the mayor's recommendation to fund security and safety improvements at City Hall and other facilities.
Staff member Eric told the committee the presentation reviewed projects presented previously on Aug. 25, which include security upgrades across multiple City Hall locations and other sites. "It's multiple projects we have throughout City Hall and... some not in city hall," Eric said.
Committee members discussed site-specific items such as plumbing repairs at Shelby Park and asked staff to provide follow-up details as needed. The committee approved the item by voice vote.
Staff said the approved funding will support facility safety and security features; project-level details and schedules will be provided in subsequent staff briefings.
