The Village of Manhattan Board of Trustees voted to accept public improvements in the Stonegate Subdivision and to release the developer's letter of credit for $2,885,900.45 after a village inspection.
Village staff said the developer completed streets, sidewalks and other improvements required by the village's subdivision regulations, and the village engineer recommended releasing the letter of credit after inspection. Mark, the village engineer, said the developer finished park grading, seating, overseeding and spring fertilization and is preparing a deed transfer to the Park District. "They're actually gonna enter into an MOU with the park district to continue the maintenance throughout the season," Mark said.
The board voted by roll call and approved the resolution. Trustees present voted yes during the roll call that followed the motion.
The release resolves the village's remaining guarantee for the Stonegate public improvements. Staff said the deed transfer and the park maintenance memorandum of understanding will follow as part of turning the park over to the Park District. The motion and roll call indicate formal approval; no additional conditions were recorded in the meeting minutes.
The board moved on to other agenda items after the vote.
