The Amsterdam Common Council on May 20 approved a memorandum of agreement with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), Council 66 Local 1614, to extend the collective bargaining agreement and include a 3% wage increase.
The resolution states the current CBA was set to expire on June 30, 2026, and that the parties have reached agreement on a successor agreement covering July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. Council members described the pact as an extension of the existing terms with a 3% pay adjustment.
The council moved and approved the resolution by roll call.
