Doctor Scanlon reported that the district's Property Analysis Committee (PAC) has been reviewing properties the district owns and will meet again on Monday, June 9, to finalize consensus recommendations for the board.
Properties under review include the Nichols Road parcel, the Hawkins Road parcel, a piece of land off "Jelena's" (as spoken in the meeting), and possible full or partial rental of North Country. Scanlon said the committee will recommend whether to pursue sale, lease or rental of one or more properties.
Before any sale would be permissible, the district must issue requests for proposals for a broker and for property appraisal/assessment services; Scanlon said RFPs are required prior to any sale. The PAC's final recommendations will be delivered to the board at the next board meeting following the June 9 PAC session.
Discussion only: board members thanked committee members for their work; no formal board action on property disposition was taken at the June 4 meeting.
Next steps: PAC finalizes recommendations at its June 9 meeting (virtual), district issues RFPs for broker and assessor as needed, and the board will receive the PAC report at its next meeting.
