The board approved transfers shifting budgeted but unused funds from equipment lines to vehicle expenditures, an increase in personnel and uniform line items previously approved in May hearings, and an EMS equipment amendment to purchase an ambulance box funded by SPLOST (special-purpose local-option sales tax) funds. County staff said the transfers will not change fund balance for the vehicle reclassification transfers, while some personnel and EMS amendments will reduce fund balances as previously described during budget hearings.
Commissioners also unanimously authorized the chairman to make minor budget adjustments during the fiscal-year closing process to accommodate small items that arise during final accounting. The county finance staff presented the amendments and confirmed that the vehicle transfers, EMS equipment purchase, and other items were consistent with earlier board direction.
A board member moved and the commission approved all amendments and the annual authorization with unanimous votes. No amendments were rejected.
