Municipal Building Authority adopts tentative budget, plans public hearing on final budget

At its June 3 meeting the Murray City Municipal Building Authority adopted a tentative budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2025, and scheduled a public hearing for final adoption.
Brenda Moore, presenting for the MBA, told board members the authority's revenue primarily consists of rent (debt-service payments) from other city funds and that the tentative budget allocates $16 million for the public works facility project while matching approximately $3.1 million in debt service payments.
Moore detailed current debt amounts associated with city hall and the public-works facility. Board members moved to adopt the tentative budget and set the public hearing; a roll-call vote recorded unanimous approval (5–0). The MBA will present the final budget for adoption at the scheduled public hearing.
