Code enforcement staff reported 27 violation notices for the most recent week, 60 violations cleared, 10 citations issued and 10 notices to appear. On formal cleanup orders, staff said 1415 North Street had been tabled on May 21 and remained unresolved; the council voted to order cleanup at that address. For 1215–1217 Ash Street, staff reported the owner had cleared the property as of June 4; when the council voted on whether to order cleanup, Council member Chris Martin and Council member Levi Jones recorded “no” votes. Staff told the council 212–214 Seventh Street (amended on the agenda from an earlier address) still had building materials present and the council approved a cleanup order. For 1500 East Market Street and 114 Seventh Street, staff reports differed: 1500 East Market was reported as cleaned and the council recorded two “no” votes when asked to order cleanup; the council approved a cleanup order for 114 Seventh Street after staff described trash, debris and overgrowth.
Motions to approve or vote on the various cleanup items were made and seconded in the meeting; the transcript records roll-call answers from Council member Chris Martin and Council member Levi Jones on each item. Randy Warren Lyons presented the weekly code-enforcement numbers and Chad from the street department described a sewer/curb cut at 1301 Balsam Street where LMU had to assist after a root ball and main-sewer problem.
