AIM Center reports record revenue and rising demand at Burnsville City Council meeting

Burnsville — The AIM Center told the Burnsville City Council on Tuesday that 2024 was its highest revenue year to date and that demand for the facility remains strong.

Executive Director Bridal Luther presented the center’s annual report, saying the facility recorded “just under 34,000 people” in 2024 and reported more than $2.4 million in total revenue, about $164,000 above the $2.2 million budget. Staff reported an operating surplus of $71,000 for the year, compared with a budgeted $69,000 loss.

Luther said the center hosted a mix of events in 2024 and continues to attract new offerings while maintaining repeat clients. “We still have continued facility demand,” Luther said, and staff highlighted partnerships and community programming such as CPR training with the Burnsville Fire Department and ticket donations to regional nonprofits.

Council members and the mayor praised the center’s staff and programming. Mayor Kautz thanked staff for the community value of events, and Council Member Keeley highlighted several upcoming shows listed on the AIM Center website, encouraging residents to buy tickets early.

Luther also said 2025 year-to-date financials are trending with budget expectations and that fourth-quarter programming was beginning to sell and could push results higher. He noted the center’s capital investments, including new cleaning equipment and other equipment funded through the CIP budget, and said staff continue to watch rising expenses as 2025 proceeds.
