Council then authorized the mayor to sign a contract with Bridal Excavating LLC for the Autumn Chase Phase 4 improvements after deeming that contractor’s bid the lowest and best. City staff said, if the contract is executed promptly, work could begin in early July and the project could be completed by October, with November 1 listed as a possible completion date to account for the asphalt plant schedule. Both the appropriation and the contract were approved following motions to suspend and adopt; council members voted yes on the motions.
