Chief Cook said the CenterPoint program provides up to $2,500 with no local match and the application process is streamlined.
Council voted unanimously to approve submission of the grant application. Staff noted that if awarded, the equipment would be procured for Tomball Fire and Rescue and that implementation would be handled by the fire department.
Next steps: staff will file the grant application and, if awarded, purchase the specified safety equipment for field use by fire/rescue crews.
