Park County commissioners approved a prorated full retail liquor license for Blackwater Creek Lodge and Guest Ranch LLC after a public hearing with no public opposition.
Carrie Smith, Park County second deputy clerk, told the board the applicant filed the license application on May 5 and the Wyoming Liquor Division approved it. “This will be a prorated license. It'll go from June fourth of 25 until July 20 fourth of 25 when the rest of the Park County full retail liquor licenses come up for renewal,” Smith said. She confirmed the business is in good standing with the Wyoming Secretary of State, has an approved forest-service lease that permits alcohol sales, and that all fees had been paid.
The board closed the public hearing without public comment and approved the license on a motion and second. During discussion a commissioner sought clarification about the short term of the license; Smith and another clerk's-office speaker explained the county prorates first-time full retail licenses to align with the annual renewal cycle. The prorated fee charged for this license was listed as $111.78 plus publishing fees.
No conditions or protests were recorded at the hearing. The board will consider a concurrent renewal application at its next meeting because the prorated license expires at the county renewal date.
