Dunn County planning and survey staff told the Planning, Resources and Development Committee on June 4 that a recent internal reorganization split a vacant survey technician position to create a new full-time zoning specialist while retaining a part-time survey role.
The change came after recruitment for the survey technician vacancy produced a single candidate whose salary expectations could not be met, staff said.
