The Apopka Development Review Committee on June 4 reviewed a construction site plan for Central Florida Preparatory School that would expand the existing campus on the building’s west side to add classrooms, labs, testing areas and a gymnasium.
“Good morning, everyone. So this is a expansion of an already existing school building where the expansion will be on the West Side. It will include additional classrooms, labs, testing areas, and a gymnasium. And it was originally shown on the final development plan that was approved by the city. I had, 2 comments that I made, be before, but then they, they reuploaded the documents before the DRC meeting, and both comments have been met,” said Amir Hamza, the project manager.
Hamza said no other departments had outstanding comments to his knowledge. At the DRC meeting, community development, police and public services reported no additional comments, and fire staff said the same. No applicant representative spoke at the DRC meeting to present beyond the project manager’s update.
No formal vote or action was recorded at the DRC meeting. Staff indicated that previously noted comments had been addressed and that the site plan could proceed through the city’s normal review and permitting processes.
