County solid‑waste inspector completes EPA on‑site training; two open dump cases remain under review

Staff said nine solid‑waste inspections were completed in May; some inspections were more in‑depth due to the training and are pending additional documentation and follow‑up actions.
The county is coordinating with the EPA on enforcement steps and report production; staff did not announce enforcement outcomes at the meeting and said follow‑up would be handled through the Rockford office and county processes.
The committee placed routine reports on file later in the meeting by motion; no additional enforcement votes were taken at the Land Use Committee meeting.
