The Oak Creek Plan Commission on May 27 approved a temporary ground sign permit allowing the Oak Creek Farmers Market to display a sign at 361 West Town Square Way through October.
The commission approved a permit for “one 72 inches by 48 inches by 94 inches temporary ground sign with one 1.5 foot by 6 foot attached hanging sign” to be installed in the location shown on the submitted site plan, with a minimum 10-foot setback from property lines and rights-of-way. The permit is valid through Oct. 25, 2025, and the sign must be removed by Oct. 28, 2025. The motion included a requirement that “all relevant code and DTSMUPDD requirements remain in effect.”
Todd, a city staff member presenting the request, said the sign is a routine annual request and that “it’s gonna be displayed through October, and it’s gonna look the same as it has the last 2 years.” The commission had no substantive questions before moving to vote.
The commission’s approval was made by motion and passed by roll call vote. The approval includes the conditions listed above and requires the sign be installed consistent with the approved site plan and city code.
The decision formalizes an annual temporary-sign arrangement for the market; any material changes to sign size, location or duration would require a new permit or amendment to this approval.
No further actions or appeals were announced at the meeting.
