A city staff presenter summarized the item and said staff worked with senior county technician Celia Ferme and department heads to review fees. “This item is the annual setting of the city's cost of services fee schedule for next fiscal year,” the presenter said during the staff report, and noted the $400 planning fee for predesigned ADU plans would be added to the schedule.
Staff said the hearing notice was published in the May 14 edition of the Salinas Valley Tribune. No members of the public appeared to speak on the item in the chamber or via Zoom, and no email comments were submitted. After closing the public hearing, the council voted to adopt the resolution; the motion carried unanimously.
The ordinance sets fees for multiple city services; staff will post the adopted schedule and apply the new ADU predesigned-plan fee for applicable permit applicants in fiscal year 2025–26.
