Board adopts tobacco, advertising and AED policies on second reading
Summary
On unanimous votes, the RSU 06 board approved second readings of policies on tobacco/e-cigarette use, distribution of non-school materials and automated external defibrillators and associated procedures.
The RSU 06 / MSAD 06 board approved three policies on unanimous voice votes during the meeting.
Director Dakotas presented the second readings and asked the board to accept the policies as presented. The policies identified on the agenda were: ADC (use and possession of tobacco, nicotine and electronic smoking devices) with procedure ADC-R; KHC (distribution of advertising and non-school materials); and EBCF (automated external defibrillator) with its associated procedure. Director Dakotas said he had not heard comments raising changes since first reading and recommended adoption as presented.
The board adopted ADC, KHC and EBCF on unanimous votes.
