Cupid highlights youth programs, schools and parks as part of county’s long‑term strategy

"When it comes to youth development, I know many of you are no strangers to that activity here in this county," Cupid said.
On recreation, Cupid said Cobb Parks and Recreation had about 7 million patrons last year and that the county will focus over the next four years on building an indoor track committed under the 2016 SPLOST. She also recognized local youth programs run by the courts, schools and nonprofits, and cited recent expansions of senior services and intergenerational programming.
No new funding actions or school-district appropriations were announced during the address; Cupid described these items as ongoing investments and partnerships.
