PORT ST. JOE, Fla. โ The Port St. Joe Planning Board approved a special-exception request on June 3 allowing a rear-setback variance for a property spoken of in the record as 2008 18th Street. The request was presented by a representative for Thomas and Joy Hayes.
The representative said the Hayes seek to add on to the house and install a small lean-to. The board asked whether there were any objections on file; staff indicated no neighborhood objections were recorded. A motion to approve the rear-setback special exception was made and seconded; the transcript records the motion and second but does not record a roll-call vote tally on the item.
Board members did not place additional conditions on the record at the meeting. The board's recommendation allows the applicants to pursue permitting consistent with the approved setback variance.
